November 6, 2018 Election

The 2018 General Election will be held on November 6, 2018.  View the Sample Ballot for races and the referendum question.

Voting will be conducted at the Sparta Community Center, located at 1000 E Montgomery Street.  The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A Photo ID is required.  For more information visit https://www.bringitwisconsin.com .

Are You Registered To Vote?  City of Sparta residents are encouraged to register to vote.  If you are a resident of the City of Sparta, you must be registered to vote.  Registered voters who have a name or address change since the last time they voted will need to update their information.  Registration via mail or online up to 20 days before the election at https://myvote.wi.gov .  Registration can be done in the City Clerk’s office via the WI Voter Registration Application form.  Forms are available at City Hall as well.  Online registrations can be done at  https://myvote.wi.gov .

Absentee Voting:  If an elector is unable to come to the polling place or will be unable to vote on Election Day, they can request to receive an absentee ballot.  The request can be done in the City Clerk’s office or in writing and should be addressed to the City Clerk’s office using the Absentee Application form.   Absentee ballot requests can also be done online at  https://myvote.wi.gov .

In-House Absentee Voting will be conducted at Sparta City Hall, at 201 W Oak Street, October 22, 2018 through November 2, 2018.  Hours are Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with the last Friday before the election until 5:00 p.m.  Photo ID is required.
