Sparta Family Aquatic Center Information

During the Special City Council meeting held on May 26th the Common Council of Sparta has voted to open the Sparta Family Aquatics Center for the summer of 2020.  We will operate under a slightly different schedule than in years past to allow for additional sanitation measures to be taken.  We will be closing the high touch/contact areas of the facility.  We will not have the lazy river, tube slide, diving boards or concession stands open for use.  We will be removing all chairs at the facility and will encourage patrons to bring their own chairs for their personal use. All patrons of the pool must follow 6’ social distancing guidelines.  We are currently scheduled to open on June 6th and will release daily schedules once we have it finalized.  Season passes will not be available for the 2020 season and we will only accept daily admissions.

We will be offering Swim Lessons this summer at a much smaller scale to abide by DHS social distancing guidelines. More information will be released soon on when registration opens and the swim lesson schedule. Swim lessons will be on a first come first serve basis. Registration will be available online and via phone.

The Common Council on May 26th also voted to cancel all youth and adult sports events for the 2020 season.  This was based up the guidelines published in the Department of Health Services recommendations.
