_{Penalty for a parking ordinance violation is $15.00.}

_{Penalty doubles if not paid within 10 days.}

_{If left unpaid after 30 days, fine increases to $50.00 and your vehicle registrations are subject to suspension.} 

_{Payment can be paid in-person or by mail to the Sparta Police Department using cash, check, or money order. Please include the citation with the payment when paying by mail or using the after-hours drop box located inside the police department vestibule.}

_{Payments can be made online by credit or debit card below by clicking the link below. You will be required to know the ticket number, license plate number, and make/model of vehicle to pay a parking ticket online. This information may be obtained by calling the Sparta Police Department during normal business hours.}

_{No person shall park a motor vehicle and no owner of a motor vehicle shall allow it to be parked on any street or public way within the city for a period in excess of 48 hours.}

_{No person shall leave a vehicle, boat, or trailer standing upon any street, highway, or municipal parking lot in the city for storage purposes. The term "storage" means leaving a vehicle, boat, or trailer standing in the street, highway or municipal parking lot for a period of 48 hours or more.}
